How do I get of grounded faster?
I am 13 and just because I am a girl my parents don't let me do anything and I feel like I am in jail when I am at home so one day I snuck away to St. Ignace, Michigan and when I came back I got grounded for it and now I feel like I am in prison so my question is how do I get off grounded faster and easier?

Obey their rules. You are a child, you did something wrong and you're being punished for it. Do you think sneaking out is going to do anything to getting ungrounded sooner? Make an extra effort.

Clean when you aren't asked to. Offer to help with chores.

Go overboard being helpful and pleasant around the house. I mean go OVERBOARD. They're going to see through it anyway, so you might as well overdo it for the sheer humor of it. Make it enjoyable for them and funny to watch, and they may let you off the hook sooner just because you make them laugh.

You need to get used to that happening. My mom played the "your a girl and he is a boy" card on me all the time when I would ask why my brother would get to do something and I wouldn't be able to. Now that I have a daughter I realize where my mom was coming from. I wouldn't want my daughter going out at 13 years old with people I didn't know. Teenage girls are more likely to get raped or abducted than teenage boys. Girls can get pregnant. Girls are not as strong physically than boys. There are so many more reasons, those are just a few. You need to listen to your parents and what they tell you to do. It is for your own good, if they didn't care they wouldn't waste their time and let you do whatever you wanted. What would happen if your mom snuck out one night and you couldn't find her and didn't know what happened to her, would you be worried? When you sneak out of your house your mom doesn't know where you are and if you have been raped or killed and are lying in a ditch somewhere. That is why you shouldn't put your mom through that. You will regret it later in life when you have kids.

If you want to get un grounded quicker then you need to be nice to your parents and do things without being asked to, just like ChihuahuaMomma has suggested. Good luck.

Sylina, it sounds like you are doing your utmost to get into trouble. On your other threads you claim to want to move out, have your 18 year old friend adopt you. You claim that your parents are abusive as well as your brothers. You've run away before too.

Being grounded isn't the worst punishment you could have received, and I say take the punsihment and learn from it. According to your others posts it could have been much worse.

If you really are being abused then it's time to get CPS involved. Running away isn't the answer, and disobeying the rules isn't either. You are only 13 years old, not an adult, and as long as you live with your parents, and they pay your bills and care for you, then you have to live by their rules. If you don't, then expect to be grounded.

You did the crime, now you do the time.

    Good luck.
