    Debit card theft
Hi I am 18 and about 4-5 weeks ago I wasn't thinking and stole a co-workers debit card. I knew her PIN as well as almost everybody else did, since she always left her PIN stuck to a piece of paper with her debit card, which was always lying around. I honestly don't know what came over me and I stole her debit card and took about 600 dollars in about 4 days from an ATM. She had filed a fraud report with her bank and when I went into work the other day the police were there and they were filling out a report. I am in Ontario, Canada, I am a female and this will be my first offence if I am caught. What do you think would happen and what kind of advice could you offer me? Please help me I am really scared and do regret this!

    Thanks FriggenIdiot.

    Hello friggen:

IF you're caught?? ATM's have cameras that photograph every person who makes a transaction.

Before that happens, it'll be better on you if you come clean. I'd hire a lawyer to do that for me.

Who should I come clean to and if I don't come clean, what kind of trouble will I be in?

    Hello again, friggen:

The cops are the ones who are going to be looking for you, so it's the cops who you need to turn yourself into. You're going to need a criminal lawyer in any case. That is the person whom I'd enlist to help me. This is the second time I've made that recommendation.

I would NOT go to the police station alone.

What kind of trouble?? Who knows? You still have some control over what eventually happens to you. Turning yourself in will go a long way to help you. Do I think you'll go to PRISON?? Nahhh.
