    Power supply
I had a power failure yester afternoon at my home. When I went home to check the computer, the light on the front was blinking and system would not power up. The computer was completely off yesterday. Could the problem be the power supply?

If there is a light on, I would say no. (but its not entirely out of the question... but most likely its fine)

Unplug the PC for a few minutes, plug it back in and try again.

I tried that. I unplugged the computer and the light still flashed for a while. I tried again about 1 hour later and the same thing. The light around the start button continually blinks and does not stop. The button does not work.

Press and hold the power button. See if it does something

If not... unplug it... press the power to discharge any power.

Open the case. Plug it back in. is there a light on the motherboard? (usually a small green led)
