He says she is just a friend
I have been seeing this guy for 5 years and all of a sudden he tells me that he met someone and that they have been seeing each other for several months. I asked him was it serious and he says that things in his life has changed. That she was just a friend and that he will not be forced in an relationship with nobody. He said that he would rather hava a friend for a lifetime than a friend for 3-6 months. Does this mean that he loves me and that they are really friends and nothing serious between the two of them? Should I just pack up my bags and go and let them be "friends"?:(

I would pack my bags up because if he's been seeing this girl for several months and now he's telling you he would rather have a lifetime friend and not just a friend for 3-6 months that sounds a little fishy. I'm sorry. :(

I agree with ZachRobbins! Those are "dancing words." He's dancing around the truth and trying to let you down easy. (read: get out of trouble with no drama attached.)
Leave him and find someone who will appreciate you and not lie to you!

Pack your bags and start walking, if you don't do it now you will surely do it later. It's been going on for months and he just now tells you? LEAVE!

Let him go and walk away. Leave now and do not let this situation drag any longer. This happen to me when my ex started hanging out a lot with this guy in the last month we were together ( she had known for 3 years) and they were taking in a class together. I told myself hey she is hanging with her good friend more now, good for her. That s when people started telling me isn't it weird that they are so close and I thought hey I don't see why they wouldn't be since they had known each other for a while. Anyway you can guess where this going. She would go out with him and her friends and would be telling me she just wants to hang out with her friends tonight and that we will do something some other day, which was fine if you do it once twice but not all the time.
I got upset and asked her once why she never wanted me to come out with her and that's when she broke it off... you see I kept hanging on and going crazy because I didn't know what was going on when the solution was simple, I should have left .
My advice to you : Leave

As hard as it will be, leave, specially if he has been doing this for months. I believe he is trying to let you done easy. The best thing you can do is leave and find someone who will appreciate you and want to be with you and not spend time with another "girl" friend.

I would leave, because I can't share, and will never give 100% to someone who can't give me the same. Read my signature.

Oh girl! Get yourself packing! Trust your gut! You KNOW what he is doing! Run for the door my girl. There is NO WAY he is just "friends" with this other girl. It's as plain as the nose on my face, and I don't even know you! He is lying and cheating on you. You deserve better, and unless you stick up for yourself and leave him, you will never get any better treatment from him or any other guy. It will just zap all of yourself esteem!
I'm sorry that you are going through this, but you really do need to call him out on this one, and I know that you are smart enough to know it! Always trust that feeling in your gut. It tells you everything you need to know in a situation like this.
Good luck... and leave while you still have your pride! :)

This guy wants to play the field instead of beint tied down to anyone. Oblivious this girl is more than a friend if he been seeing her behind your back for several months. No, he don't love you because if he did he would be committed to you and not want to see anyone else and would try to make it work, that' love. Right now you need to move on because he already warned you about want he don't want. Cut yourself loose from him because he already cut himself from you.

Trust is the main pillar of a relationship, and if it is lost it is extremely hard to get it back because from the moment you lose trust, you will start to overthink everything the other person does or how honest they are being with you. Believe me it is not worth it at all... so get out and do not look back. Trust me when I say this it will only hurt you more if you stay !
