Diag. For switched outlet for disposal
On Feb 15, 2008 Retiredmanvan answered a question on how to add a switched outlet for a disposal. Is there a wiring diagram that could be posted for review?

Yes, there are several wiring plans available to show how to control an outlet via a switch.

However, what we need is to know if you are planning to use a 15 or 20 amp circuit. Are you planning on running a new branch circuit (20 amp suggested) or splicing into and existing branch circuit.

It is against the NEC Code to use the two or more circuits that are required to service the counter top outlets.
