    Is Garnishment
My son was garnished over a year ago and has the pay stubs to prove that the garnishment was satisfied, but the company he worked for failed to turn it in. Now the creditor is garnishing him "again" at a new employer. Is this legal for him to have to pay "twice" on the same debt? The old employer won't respond and may be out of business. Thanks for any help.

Was this a judgement against him, I assume? He needs to go to that court and show proof that he satisfied the judgement. He may have to sue the creditor to force them to notify the court that the original judgement was satisfied. But the court that the judgement was through should be able to tell him the proper process.
