    Wage Garnishment Laws
I just found out that my ex husbands wages are going to be garnished by 25% of his gross income. We had a divorce agreement that helps me pay my rent, and living expenses as was recommended by my Lawyer in the settlement. Now what!

Who is garnishing his wages? That doesn't affect what he owes you and he's requied to continue to pay.

If your payment comes from a payroll deduction, you have nothing to worry about because yours is first in line.

If he pays out of pocket, you may run into some problems when his check comes up short.

About all you can do is wait and see, if he doesn't pay, you contact your attorney and haul him back to court for non payment as long as it is documented in the details of your divorce.
