    What does "dating" mean to you guys?
    Hey guys! Please answer to this: when you ask a girl out and she agrees to go out with you, do you usually take it as a sign of interest or is it just... dating? Thank you

    Always a sign of interest... and ALWAYS just dating, too.

    Never let the early differences in how much you and a girl like each other stop you from asking her out. If you're interested, ask her. Don't fret her attitude yet at all. Just go for it.

    And also, don't think that because some girl really likes you already means anything either. You still have to date to find out if you are going to make each other miserable or blissfully happy.

    It's true, you just have to get out there and do it, risk it, date it, learn it, and move on as painlessly as possible when it ends. All part of the process.

    Hello a:

    Good for you for asking... But, there ain't no figuring out what's in the head of a girl. They're much more complicated than men. She might like you, or she might just want to see the movie you're taking her to.

    Hey excon:

    Being a girl myself, I have a good idea of what girls think. :) I was wondering what could possibly be in a guy's head, what could he possibility think.

    I agree with JB it means interested but don't read anything into it yet.

    I also agree with Ex girls are very complicated and just cause you have a drama queen figured out doesn't mean you have the clingy girl, or the quiet girl, or the complex girl or the naggy girl, or the best of girls figured out.

    It's always a sign of interest - of course, or else she wouldn't have agreed to go out. But it doesn't mean she is all into you yet, I go on a lot of first dates, agree to it because you want to see if maybe your into the guy - but dating takes time. You have to feel that initital chemistry on the first couple of dates. Or some girls agree to dates simply because they are bored haha - I've done that too. But generally speaking, she has an interest in getting to know you better. When you too start spending more time together and sleeping together, then in my opinion you've moved in the dating stage. But keep in mind until you have that talk, she could be dating more then just you!

    Naah. I don't agree. :)
    I think men are way more complicated to deal with, because so many of them have this fantasy that they have no emotions and that they are "logical." I can ask a man for a hug, and he will say he doesn't know how after having delivered 4000 of them already. Men are just incomprehensible!

    They also tell me I'm "too logical" even as they lay claim to being the logical ones. I am not even going to try to understand that. :)

    And some men just ask out someone because they have not had a date in a while, or do't have a date for this weekend or more. Some teen guys may have bets on who can or can't get a date for this next weekend and so on.

    I would look at it more for the second or third date
