    Adding vents when finishing basement
We are trying to finish our basement. We currently have 2 furnaces and 2 a/c units heating and cooling our home. There are 2 existing vents in the basement, one off each unit. Can we seal these vents and run 1 new vent off each system for use in the finished portion of the basement? Theoretically, this would not compromise the system because we would seal the existing vents and replace them in different areas, right??

    Thank you!!

It all sounds good and should work the same. Do you have a return air in the basement? If not This would be the time to add one. You have to remove the air in the area your trying to heat or condition for it to work in its fullest potential.
