My Dog Urinates A Lot In My Room
I'm having trouble training my dog to stop urinating in my room. She stopped doing it around the house, but now I'm the victim here. BUT ! She only does this when I am not home. The people in my house when I'm not there are my mom or my dad. I come home and I see my bed wet, my sheets wet, etc.. So I just grab her.. point at the places where she urinated and tell her no multiple times, I give her a little tap on her leg also.. This happened a lot over the past couple of months I've had her. SHE JUST Won't STOP.
My parent's are getting very frustrated and they're thinking about giving her away..
Please help :(.. I really love that dog

Can't you put her outside while you're away? She will have no idea what you're scolding her about when you get home as you need to catch them IN the act. I n her mind, she expects when her owner gets home she will immmediately be told off for being in your room. Maybe she is anxious when you are gone.

Have you ever thought of keeping your bedroom door shut and leaving out something with your scent on it that she can have nearby? Also be sure you aren't making a big deal out of leaving as this will make her more anxious and worried. Another idea is to crate her while you're gone or at least when your parents can't keep a close eye on her to put her in a crate with a few favorite chew toys like a Kong stuffed with some treats or peanutbutter to keep her busy. Just a few thoughts I hope everything works out. :)
