    Cat Urinates on everything!
We have two male cats. Both bought from the same store in the same pen. Both different breeds. But one looks older (he also came into maturity more quick than other cat) for the last 6 months or so. We have found that he urinates on everything... if we drop a towel on the floor and we walk out of the room and leave the door open... he will go in and pee on it then walk away. We have had to make sure there are no clothes towels blankets on the floors... but no he has done it on our shoes.. our paperwork, I brought a bag home from my mums house with stuff of mine from when I lived there, and we could smell that he had pee'd some where in the loungeroom but we couldn't find where.. but I looked today and he had peed in that bag... I had video's and dvd's and books and other stuff... luckily he only peed in the plastic bag but it still had my vid's and dvd's in there. What is this cats problem. We are going through so much vinegar because it's the only thing that helps with the smell. We wash everything with disinfectant first before putting in that wash machine. Would he have an infection or is he just doing it to mark his territory from our other cat. HELP! PLEEEEEEE:DEEEASE

Are these cats neutered? Have you taken the peeing one to the vet for an evaluation? He might be diabetic or have a urinary infection (called FUS or FLUTD). This is EXTREMELY uncomfortable for the cat and must be treated. If it's not treated, he could die from it.

ASPCA: Pet Care: Cat Care here is some very good information. Look at the benefits of spaying/neutering your cats from health to behavior. Good Luck

I have 12 cats, because we live on a farm, but about 10 of them spray, and they are fixed. This is what cats do and sometimes neutering doesn't make them stop. They live on my porches, because they wouldn't stop peeing. He's marking his territory more than likely, but have his urine checked to be sure its not a u.t.I. or if he has crystals in his urine.
