    Tought limit
    h is approaching 0 lim (x+h)^2-x^2/h I just need help getting to the next step. I am stumped.

    This is the definition of a derivative. Look at it. The derivative of x^2 is your limit.

    But if you must derive it, expand out and let h approach 0.

    It is rather straightforward.
