How do I get my well pump to pump up water?
Recently my deep well jet pump suddenly stopped working. We brought the motor to a shop that fixed it and then we connected it back to the pump. Afterwards we pulled this white plug from the top and attempted to prime it by pouring water into it. However, after pouring in a gallon of water the hole was still not full; why is that? Also, the pressure gauge remains on zero even though we turn on the power. Does anyone know what the problem is? How can I get water??

Deep well jet pumps can be a real pain. Keep pouring water in until the pipe fills up. If it doesn't fill, you have a leaking leather packer down at the bottom of your pipe. The packer holds the water and pressure up in the well casing pipe.

If you have another source of water, say a neighbor or something. You can hook up the hose and pressurize some water down the well. That is the easiest way to get a jet-pump going.

    Good Luck,
    Al
