    How do I treat constipation?
    I have been consitpated since 25/7/2008 I have tried everything e.g senna tablets, eating plenty of fibre, drinkning a lot of fresh orange juice. I feel really bloated and I have ran out of ideas what do you recommend. I am only 19 and I'm a female. I had appendicitis and I had an operation to remove my appendics on Tuesday. Help !:(

    This is most likely caused by pain meds and/or the appendicitis. I don't know if you have it where you have, but a product called Miralax works wonders. A natural relief is dried apricots, purchased in any produce section.

    If you have been taking any type of pain reliever before July 25th there is a great chance that this is the problem. Some pain relievers are notorious for causing constipation, especially one called Hydrocodon. The Miralax that was mentioned above is the best thing I have found for me. I take a lot of pain medicine and I had to have something and this is the best I have found. It does not make you go but it makes it easier for you to go.
