    Ceiling Fan Stays on High Even After Pulling the Chain!
    My ceiling fan is on HIGH, the third setting, even after pulling the chain. I keep pulling the chain and it keeps running. Can someone help me with suggestions please?

    What make/model is the fan? If you don't know, send a picture.

    Before anyone else tries to answer-- remember on most fans, high is the first setting, not the third :)

    Right-first setting! Here is a picture of the fan.

    That's a Moss. Good quality older fan.

    So. There is NO off position on the chain right now? Assuming that's the case.. .

    Only options are bad pullchain (very rare) or someone messed with the wiring (even rarer).

    Try replacing the pullchain, here are instructions:

    The fan is now working. I was able to replace the switch and the fan's running fine. Thank you so much for your help. :)
