My ceiling fan is on HIGH, the third setting, even after pulling the chain. I keep pulling the chain and it keeps running. Can someone help me with suggestions please?

What make/model is the fan? If you don't know, send a picture.
Before anyone else tries to answer-- remember on most fans, high is the first setting, not the third :)
Right-first setting! Here is a picture of the fan.Quote:

So. There is NO off position on the chain right now? Assuming that's the case.. .
Only options are bad pullchain (very rare) or someone messed with the wiring (even rarer).
Try replacing the pullchain, here are instructions:

You can buy a replacement from CeilingFanParts.com Home
The fan is now working. I was able to replace the switch and the fan's running fine. Thank you so much for your help. :)
Good news :)
