    National Arbitration Forum
I got a letter in the mail from the National Arbitration Forum telling me that they are going to sue me for an old credit card I got back when I was 19. Im now 25 and I am in the process of trying to clear up my credit. But I'm not working right now and already making payments to another card. I don't even remember the balance on this card and they are just telling me that I should find a lawyer. I'm veryscared and worried and I don't know what to do. Is this a real company. Will they really sue me? If I'm not working can they still demand I pay them money?? No one has called me trying to work something out and this is the frist letter I'm getting from them. What do I do?? WHo do I talk to?

Depending on what state you are in, the statute could have expired by now.

I would simply write a letter to the company, deny the debt, and request validation.

See if they can provide it.

If they do, then check the date of the last activity (payment or charge) on the account and then check the statute of limitation for your jurisdiction.
