What is it should I do when you boyfriend is not talking to you anymore
... ok so my boyfriend and I haven't been dating very long and it started at a very rocky start, when I had an unorthodox emotional outburst when I thought I was going to lose him. Now he forgives me for it all and says that he still wants to be with me and stuff like that, but the thing is he never really talks to me, and whenever I start up a conversation with him it always ends very quickly and another conversation doesn't start up again until I have to text him or call him. It really is driving me nuts and I really want some good advice on what I should do.

There isn't much of a relationship if you two don't even speak. If you're the only one talking that's a clue. It sounds as though he isn't really interested. Talk to him and find out what's going on. Maybe he's hoping that you'll cut him loose by acting that way. Good Luck!

I was just going to say what Erin said. He's being distant so you'll be the one to end it.

Maybe he is simply a quiet guy. He may not know how to communicate. But good communication is an essential part of a relationship.

If you don't have communication, you don't have a relationship

Communication is key. What was the circumstances that led to your outburst? If it was a conversation, maybe he doesn't want to risk you having another emotional outburst. And if this is the case- he needs to find some other way of addressing it. Communication in relationships is like butter on bread. It needs to be there if you want a healthy relationship. I suggest talking to him about it. It may be uncomfortable addressing it (confronting someone you truly care about usually is), but talk it through and see what's up. If he backs away a little during the conversation, or tries to end it prematurely, simply ease up a bit. Tell him how you feel about his lack of communication but make sure you tell him why. Most guys need that sort of direction- if they see that their actions are hurting a girl they truly care about, they'll try to change- at least that's what always gives me direction. I would feel terrible if the girl I love is being hurt by actions. It's certainly important to you, so I think he should make a concerted effort to address that need. Hope this helps!

    Best of luck-

If he does not talk much, how does he let you know he still wants to be with you and stuff like that? Does this mean that he's happy only when you are physical? Does he take you out and introduce you to his parents and friends? Do you go to fun places, enjoy movies or go dancing? Does he respect you? I bet not... but you don't give us much to go on.

And, what the heck is an unorthodox emotional outburst? I sure would appreciate it if you'd explain that one to me.

My dear Melita, what would you tell someone in your shoes right now? Look and feel deep inside and see if this guy is worth your time and energy, and please keep your self-respect.

Good luck, and keep us posted.

He doesn't sound like fun to me, and isn't that what young love is about?
