    My sister. Psychic or not?
My younger sister, emily, believes that she is psychic. I use the word "believes" because I have a feeling it isn't true. There have been a lot of strange "coincidences" but I don't believe she is psychic.
I mean, I think there's a possibility, but the problem is that my step mother (her biological mother) is putting this idea into her head. She assures emily that she sees our dead grandmother, and that she sees angels in her sleep. Emily hasn't once told us this on her own, and when she does, her mother has something to say about it.
However, Emily is protected by a strange force, like a guardian angel or something. When she born, her mother was in labor with her for more than a day, I think around 30 or 32 hours or something like that... Emily's heart beat was lost for a couple minutes, and the doctors were sure that either my stepmother or Emily weren't going to make it. However, both of them did. At that point, I was amazed and happy, but people are saved like this all the time, I thought.
When she was a few months older, she was running around her kitchen. Being a curious little baby, she ran over to a huge, heavy metal cubbard, and tried to open it. There were child locks on it. She got it open, but hung onto the door. The cubbard fell, and my father saved her. My father had came back only a few moments before and ran over and stopped the cubbard. I was relieved and what not, but I still didn't think it was anything special.
This is what changed my mind: A few years later, when my father was building his house, he brought my stepmother, Emily, and my brother mishaal. When Emily and Mishaal were playing in one of the unfinished rooms, Emily slipped on a sheet of glass. THe glass shattered and EMily fellface first. Emily got up and cried, but did not have the slightest scratch or bit of glass on or in her skin. The glass was shattered into bits and pieces, too.

I'm thinking, Emily might not be a psychic, but I believe that she could have an extra careful guardian angel or spirit or something?

Everyone is psychic. Everyone can learn to shift their consciousness to different levels. Just like everyone can learn to play a musical instrument. Some people have an ear for music, others less so. And then once in a big while along comes an Amadeus.

A big chunk of any talent is truly enjoying that kind of activity--you like it more, you practice more, you get better. A big chunk, but not the whole chunk.

Certainly, she has some kind of protection. Maybe she was assigned an especially powerful guardian angel precisely because she has some great gift that will be a benefit to the world in the coming transformation. Or maybe she's just lucky (which is a kind of psychic power, after all).

Anyway, it certainly won't help her any to tell her you don't believe in her. Let her find out her talents (psychic and otherwise) for herself, by giving her unconditional support as a brother. And demonstrate the right use of power for her by exercising morality in your own life choices. Not buying shoes made in sweat shops is one example. Washing the family car is another. Just listening to her without crosstalk is a really good one.

Blessings to you and your family. Keep us posted on any other interesting gifts she reveals (and, hey, these things do run in families--you might discover a few of your own).

She could be psychic. I call it highly intuitive as opposed to psychic because that to me seems more for people who have developed their abilities.
It would be good for her to practice writing things down and then see if they relate to anything that happens later.
She does sound like she has something special.

Yes, everyone is psychic to a degree. Just like some people are physically stronger than others, some are psychically stronger. If one wants to get stronger, there are different excercises you can do to build up, so to speak. Like nohelp4u says- have her write down her predictions. Other ways are card guessing. Dreams can also tell us alot- have her get a dream dictionary or use the ones online (some go into more detail than others).
Just don't tell her she isn't psychic- it's a lot like telling children that ghosts aren't real and because they trust the person telling them, they will quickly dismiss it.
    Hope it helps.

It can't hurt to encourage Emily. We all have intuition, or sometimes it's just known as a gut feeling. Your "gut feelings" are usually correct. Some people can hone this energy, and use it to their advantage, and that should be encouraged, and not disspelled.

Did your sister ever speak of imaginary friends when she was young? If she has, it could be her guardian angel that she sees, and is protecting her. Ask her if she knows anything about someone that comes around to play with her that no one else can see.

She will probably grow out of this if she dismisses it. If it is something she wants to learn, then there are lots of books she can read to develop this, if that is what she wants to do. Otherwise, tell her that she has someone special that keeps an eye on her, and leave it at that.

I have said A lot of weird things because my life and my whole family is surrounded by unusual happenings

as similar to me I have fallen 3 storys into pea gravel onto my back and got up without a scratch... ive tripped over a 40 pound wood grate it broke and I fell down the stairs and it had a concrete wall at the bottom and a door on the left I tumbled backwards and landed on the ground with my feet still on the stairs and the gate standing vertically 7 steps above me

I have crashed a biike going 23 miles an hour into the tailgate of a truck hit the gate with my shin and fliped over it onto my bottom and got up my shin was slightly bruised but the tailgate was broken off on the side I hit and had a dent where my shin hit

I have many others it could by a form of psychic protection or spirtiual... me and my friends would call it just being blessed ^_^

As an amateur psychic medium myself I have to agree with you that everyone is indeed psychic. ;)

I think you know the answer already and need a confirmation. The mother wants her to be able to see her grandmother. It would be a good thing to her. The child doesn't want to contradict her. Children are able to feel things. It is not a good idea to insist on that. I think it is a good idea for everyone to move on with their life and let the dead go. The grandmother will pass over to the other side and not be there all the time. Maybe the little girl is psychic. It sounds like the mother's wishful thinking and will actually not hurt anything.
