I have had mine done for 6 years and I was terrified about getting it done, and I closed my eyes, I said OK I'm ready and they said its already done I swear I didn't feel a thing it was so weird, the most you feel is a little bit of pressure but its done in 2 seconds, and its very hard to spit after lol

There is no puss and make sure you use a plastic ball cause the metal ones can easily destroy your teeth

Don't drink alcohol for 6 weeks, beer is the worst... use non-flavour scope/listerene after everything you eat for 6 weeks and same after ever smoke (if you do), no kissing, or sexual things to do with your mouth for 6 weeks... you shouldn't get a infection if you follow these, I had a friend who drank 3 weeks after and her tongue got so infected she had to get the tongue ring cut off

I wouldn't suggest drinking (at your age), and smoking (EVER) anyway.

They say 6 weeks , but you can change the top ball anytime I changed mine the same day, cause they peirce it wit metal, and it hurts a lot if you bit it, and you will bit it a lot for the first few weeks while eatting, so eat slow, and slurpees are awsome and taking the swelling down fast, or suck on ice cubes

thank you both. And chi.thanx for the links they were really helpful; I haven't smoked since June 6th so I guess I pretty much have quit... I watched my g-pa die from smoking two x-mas ago. :( so Im trying my hardest but right now with my dad in prison my mom dying from the same thing her dad died from(smokin) and the living situation(living with my step dads mom and stepdad and having to share a room with a 7 yr old without doors or privacy is harsh. But thanks to both of y'all
