    Electric start mower
I have a Toro self pace electric start mower. It has worked fine until recently the electric start quit. Have checked the battery and it is fine. Has anyone had any experience with this problem. I am wondering if the ignition switch would just go bad al of the sudden.
    Thanks

The ignition switch is like any other electrical part, it can go bad at any given time.

Is there a way on an electric star mower to by pass the ignition switch to see if it is the problem with not starting?

Yes, just like hot wiring a car. Basically when you turn key on, it provides power to ignition system and or lifts the Mag from ground. Not sure about your mower.
If guages come on when key is turned on, may just be the start circuit.
The Positive from Ignition switch Start terminal when turned should have power to starter/solenoid, if it does and doesn't energize with correct voltage present, solenoid is bad.
Be careful when overiding starter, may have a safety switch that MAY interrupt the ground to solenoid?
If you understand correctly and exactly, a screwdriver from big positive lug and touch to start terminal. Keep blade clear. Be Careful.
