    Info on art auctions in past
    My oil painting was bought at an art auction I think in san fransico prior to 1988. I have a lot number on the back of it but have no idea how to trace it... any suggestions...

    Yes... I do not know which auction it came from. If I could find names of auction houses in SF area, maybe then I could see if they would be familiar with the lot number. Thanks for everyone's help on this...
