    How long before a property is put up for auction for non payment of property taxes

    Varies by court ( state) normally at least two, most I go to seem to be two or three years, some may not sell at a auction and you will see them with more years.
    I would assume it would be legal to do it if they are just behind on current year, but I don't believe I have seen any with just one year owed on it.
