    A/C Disconnect Panel
A home inspector recently recommended that I replace the 60amp (non-fusible) outside A/C Disconnect fuse with a 40amp, because the A/C unit recommended a 40amp. However, trying to find one of these is a time consuming task, as all of the units I have found are all a single 60amp, or two 30amp piece unit.
Is there actually a 40amp disconnect unit available, or was the inspector incorrect in suggesting this?
    Thanks -

Your Breaker in Main Panel should be 40 Amps, the disconnect could be 1 million amps
    Disconnect is a disconnect.
Your protection is at Panel? Where do you live?

(he recommended) don`t worry about it, the main breaker in your power box is your main concern for safety, the disconnect is there so the power can be disconnected when someone is working on your outside system
