Finding a printer compatible with Windows Millennium (me)
I deleted my HP Deskjet D4160 printer from my computer by mistake, and I can't find the disk that came with the printer to re-install it. As of July 2007, HP no longer offers driver downloads or replacement driver CD ordering for my Windows Millennium (Me) computer. Is there any printer I can purchase that will be compatible with my Windows Me program?

I found this link, but I don't know if it is legit or not. You might want to check it out. I do know it will get harder to get ME drivers as time goes on.

    Good luck,

There are several printer models that are compatible to ME and drivers available on HP United States - Computers, Laptops, Servers, Printers & more.

It kind of depends on what you are needing in a printer. My favorite printers are the Canon I and s series. Or, the HP Deskjet 900 series. Often you can find the Deskjets at local Goodwills or Thrift stores for next to nothing.

These are the strongest printers HP made or ever will make.

Dear Printerfixer: Thank you so much for taking time to answer my question, and I sincerely appreciate your suggestions. On the same day that I received your message I went to Goodwill and purchased a used Deskjet 632C printer. It was the only printer on the shelf that had the CD with it, and the CD did install on my computer. So far so good. However, the used printer didn't have a power cord, and I have ordered one from the HP Parts Store. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that when the cord arrives the printer will print. I had not even thought about checking at Goodwill, so I really appreciate your help. Sincerely, drumbiz
