Get to know your body and watch for signs of likely ovulation... they can vary from person to person but a few things you might watch for and try, and some things that are just good practice when trying to get pregnant:

*discomfort in the area of one ovary or the other midcycle... not everyone feels this
*increase in vaginal discharge... more fluid, wetter, and clearer for a few days prior to ovulation... best time to have sex for pregnancy
*slight spotting midcycle... some women may have a bit of spotting around the time of ovulation
*check position of cervix... just prior to ovulation it will become higher and softer than other times of the month
*try temping and charting... takes a few months to see a pattern, but you may notice a slight dip and rise in temp and then it stays up until your next period starts (ovulation often occurs a day or so before the rise)
*ovulation predictor kits... will detect a rise in the lutenizing hormone which occurs prior to ovulation... this, as with the temping and charting, work well for some women, but others find them frustrating
*be sure you are taking a good multivitamin or prenatal with folic acid in it while trying to conceive... would be wise for boyfriend to be sure and eat well or take a multivitamin for insurance as well as good nutrition has an effect on sperm health
*make any lifestyle changes (you and boyfriend) that you know are healthy and good for you

As ang8318 said, it can be perfectly normal for it to take a bit of time.. I know it doesn't always seem that way when you hear of someone falling pregnant on their first time, when they weren't even trying, or if they were using birth control, but in reality it is a small window of time each month for conception to occur. A preconception visit to your doctor is an excellent suggestion... both you and boyfriend should go together.

To keep any extra semen from leaking out of you, try elevating your hips for fifteen minutes or so after your have sex.

Sometime God is not ready for us to bring a child into this world, but we will when the time is right.
