    Health during pregnancy
Hello I am a little bit worried as recently I have been reading advice to avoid going near cat faeces while pregnant. I am 11 weeks pregnant and when I was about 5 weeks pregnant I cleared out some cat faeces from my garden, I had plastic bags over my hands to do this and I did not get any on my clothes or skin, I still washed my hands thoroughly afterwards though. I am just worried that I may have harmed my unborn baby. Any help please?

No you haven't I'm sure you are not laying in it or playing with it nor do you have it all over your hom your unborn baby should be fine. A lot of pregnant woman have been known to crave kitty litter cig ashes and I'm sure they have and still had healthy babies. Just relax and enjoy your pregnancy

Thank you, I hve just been so anxious since I found out I was pregnant because I thought I had a miscarriage early on I had to go for an internal scan and thank god everything was OK I just feel so anxious all the time. Also about the cat faeces, I actually picked it up with my hands, I did have my hands covered up with the bags though so will that still be OK do you think?

I think you are safe... while it isn't advisable to be changing the litter boxes, because of toxoplasmosis, a parasite found in the feces, once should not be a problem, just make sure you have someone else do the dirty work from now on :)
