How do I tell my roommate it's time to move out
I am currently deployed in Afghanistan and I own a house in Hawaii. I have a roommate that is delinquent in all his bills, including rent, electricity, cable, etc... to the tone of over $1,000. Not only that but his girlfriend doesn't work and sit's around MY house everyday and seems to eat all the food in the house, use up all the internet and electricity that my wife is having to pay for, while she is at work. I feel like like they are living in a lap of luxury while I am deployed overseas. I feel like I don't trust this guy and made a mistake when I made him my roommate in the first place. How can I tell him it's time to pay his debt and time move out?

I appreciate who ever can help me out with my situation.

Give him an eviction notice and take your loses cause he isn't going to pay up anyway.

I had a roommate who did the same thing... just be honest and straight forward but tactful.
Give them about a month to find a place to live and you must be firm about the date that they move out... dont be a push over about this because it could be come a very serious matter and in my opinion it is... you could call but I would call and send a letter of notification... any other questions email me

If there is no written agreement, I would send them a 30 day notice to vacate the residence.

Keep a copy and send it certified, return receipt requested.

If they do not comply, you will have to start a formal eviction procedure.

Some jurisdictions allow the landlord to process the eviction, others will require that it be done by an attorney.

    Good Luck with your deadbeat.
