How can I get out of a "Sears" air condioning contract.
I signed up for a new Sears air conditioning unit. I have a year before I have to enforce the contract, HOWEVER, since signing, I now need a more importantly, new roof. I only have the money for one,(credit of course) and Sears says that there is " No way" that I can be released from this contract. Even if I refuse to go through with the installation they will leave the unit and all of its supplies in my yard. They also said that they have probably already sold my note to another collection agency... HELP! My roof is leaking and I am in the rainy season now!

Read the contract carefully or take it to an attorney. You might also try enlisting a consumer advocate from your local news media.
