    Old "sears" furnace
    Sears furnace model 867.763271
How old may this unit be?
Who manufactured furnaces for Sears of this vintage?
This a standing pilot unit and I am guessing at least thirty years old?

The number you posted is a Sears serial number asssigned by them. You only hope would be to contact them and , from my experience, they will not be able to help with vintage questions. They have used many different manufacturers over the years but might still be anble to get parts.

I have a Miller furnace in a mobile home. For the past two or three weeks, we've heard an occasional "beeping" noise coming from the attic area just above the furnace. It sounds like a back-up warning from vans but not as loud. It occurs about every five or ten minutes. I cannot locate the...

Heater blows cold when "On", not at all on "Auto" [ 1 Answers ]

Our gas heater is 7 years old, and has worked fine in the two years we've rented here. This winter though, we can't get it to work consistently. When on "Auto", it doesn't turn on at all, no matter what temperature we select, and when we turn the fan to "On", it simply blows cold air. It...
