Loud explosive sound from outside condenser unit
I heard a loud sound (boom) on my outside condenser unit and now 24 hours later the inside AC unit is running but it is not cooling... thermostat set at 73 and temperature reads 83 in house. What was the loud sound? A neighbor heard the sound and said it sounding like a tire exploding... the unit was running outside after the loud sound.

?? Good question. If the outside unit is not running check the circuit breakers and fuses and report back.

Mystery solved. The AC guy discovered it was the Dual Run Capacity that blow up. A simple replacement. He checked everything else to make sure nothing else was harmed.
