    Toilet, no water to
Used the bathroom this morning, but after flushing the toilet, the tank didn't fill up. I checked the water valve behind/under it and found that it was turned to the open/on position. The other toilet and all sinks, the tub, and washer all have water flow, and I'm not sure what the problem is. I've worked on toilets before, but have never encountered this problem.

Whatever assistance anyone can provide will be appreciated. At this point, I'm getting my exercise carrying buckets of water for flushing.

    Thanks
    Sheryl

    Hi Sheryl:

Does the inside of your toilet look like the top picture or the bottom picture..

First, of course, is to open the tank lid and see if anything is stopping the float cup (top pic.) or the float ball (bottom pic.) from releasing properly and allowing the tank to fill.

Check out the inside of the tank and see what is happening in there... then if nothing obvious, drop back and let us know which type inner tank parts you have so we can discuss the next steps to take!

Let us know what you think... MARK
