    Stanadyne Shower not fully diverting
    Hi all,

I've just closed on my first house, and over the past couple of days, I've noticed that in our master bedroom shower, when I pull up the diverter to switch the water towards the shower, about half of the flow continues to go into the bath, while the water that does flow to the shower doesn't have a lot of pressure.

This is a Stanadyne system; not sure how old.

I guess I have two problems:

    1/ Lack of pressure
2/ Water not fully diverting to shower.

Any ideas? I am an absolute plumbing novice!

    Thanks
    Gavin

I am assuming that the diverter is on the tub spout. Replace the tub spout. There are two types, one screws on the other has a set screw on the underside that you loosen and slide the spout off the pipe coming out of the wall.
