    Taken a Father's Rights Away
I want to know how do I take my kids father rights away? It's not like he help me with them anyway. And he doesn't have any money to pay child support. I feel like I'm both mother and father to my boys anyway. He never there.

You get a lawyer, go to court, and plea your case.

Unless you have a new husband waiting to adopt, though, it's more likely that what will result from this is the court looking into enforcing the child support.

Does he ever visit his kids? If he came to the door would they know him? Is it just a case of him not paying, or is he NEVER exercising visitation? If the kids know their father it might be in their best interest to keep him in their life. Children need to know that they're loved and not rejected. Better to allow him to come around once in a while, than to take away his rights and have the boys thinking they're not loved or wanted EVER by this parent. I am in no way excusing his negligent behavior. He should be paying his child support and he should be seeing his kids on a regular basis. But, the emotional development of your children must be your first concern. I encourage you to discuss it with a professional that can tell you how this will affect your boys.
