    Kitche remodel.window in the way
I would like to put cabinets where a window is. The window is rectangular and it slides to the side to open it. I have heard of people spray painting the window black and just studding over it ? Then if you want later on you can remove it from the outside? It's a brick wall on the outside just wondering how this sounds because it would be the easiest for now just to black it out

Well sure you could do this and most folks here would think it was a terrible idea, but you could do it. I been doing thins for a few decades and never oce saw what you describ. However, just because I have not seen it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Anybody else out there got an idea?

I think it would look odd to paint it black and stud over it, I'd leave it and skip the upper cabinets or remove it completely and finish the wall on the exterior and interior side before doing what you describe. If I was buying a house and found this I would be skeptical of a half-assed remodel job and would not buy the house for fear of more of the same. I sure would hate to lose a window in my house, do you have many more in the kitchen.

Well never mind we worked on resizing the cabinets and it will work out good with the window there

This will look better and not be seen as a jury rigged repair by the next owner. Smart choice.
