    Can Informal probation be reduced for dui conviction.
    I got a DUI over 2 years ago, although its been this long can anything be done about; reducing the informal probation period of 5 years?

    You might be able to and you might not. It would greatly depend on the laws in place where you are located. As such, it would help to know where you are located and hopefully, someone who is familiar with the laws where you are located will come along who knows about those laws.

    Was this your first DUI? Five years seems like a long time if it was your first one and didn't involve anything else other than just driving under the influence.

    You can make a motion to the court to have your probation time reduced or to be taken off probation. I will say this, most likely with informal probation, all they are asking is that you don't break any more laws, and most likely esp DUI laws. So they may have little interest since they are only asking you not to break the law.
