Low hot water pressure in bathtubs and showers only.
I own a 2004 one story home. 1500 square feet. The hot water pressure in both bathtubs only has started running very low. Everything else is normal. Nothing else has been tinkered with that would have caused this. What would be the cause and cost to fix?

    Hi Mwhite:

I guess my first question is if issue is at the tub and the shower head of both bathrooms..

If just issue at shower heads then need to remove the shower heads and clean out the screen inside the neck of the shower head itself and then reinstall (be sure to run water full pressure hot and cold WITHOUT shower head on to clear pipe of any sediment that may be in there).

If issue at both tub and shower then the issue may be inside the valve. Pretty rare for both bathrooms to have issue like this... check both and compare.. then let us know what you find.

A model number/name or good description of valves will help us if you think issue at the valves themselves.

Start there... let us know what you find... MARK

PS..I check in most mornings around 7:00 am and when I can at 12:00ish, then again at around 6:00 and 9:00 ...so check back around those times for a reply if you asked another question.
