    Can't find where to light pilot on State Select Water Heater
    I am having a horrible time finding the Hot Water Heater pilot on a State Select Hot Water Heater.

    Call your utlitiy company to have it done. Don't do it yourself.

    First thing to determine here is if this is newer or older style water heater.

    Older models require you to light pilot using flame...

    Newer models have an ignitor similar to an ignitor on a barbecue grill (closed chamber).

    ANd I agree with Tickle, if this is not something you are VERY sure of... don't do it.

    A model number and the name brand heater would also help me.
