visitation schedule
Me and my husband started getting a divorce when I was 7 months pregnant. My daughter is now 7 weeks and we are going back and fourth about visitation schedule. Since he has never been a primary care giver he is not getting everything he wants. We have agreed to no overnights before age three, but I was wondering what would be a good schedule for her from age 3-5 until the standard order goes into place? Thanks!

I would say that what you decide now will be the set, and actually it is uncommom not to have overnights way before 3. Overnights would normally start by 1 anyway. So you have a lot of work to do, if he wants to keep fighting this. ** and many get over nights at a few months.
But visitation variies, every other weekend fri evening though Sunday evening and one evening every week is not uncommom at all. Plus a longer time frame during the summer

Why are you setting up visitation outside the Court procedure? Get a temporary order - the Court will decide what is usual and what is best for the child.
I don't understand if she's 7 weeks ago and you're in the middle of a divorce why you are concerned what you will do from ages 3 to 5 - ?

He wasn't giving his opinion he was stating a fact. It is true that if he keeps fighting he will most likely get over night visits before age three. Age one is considered to be the end of infantcy (which tighter state guidelines apply). And generally it is then every other weekend from Friday night to Sunday afternoon/evening. Plus shorter day time visits one to two days a week.

Yes what I was saying was not opinion, if you don't agree to something and have the judge sign off on it, when your husband gets to court, you can expect it to go a lot more his way than what you are doing right now.
