    I want a divorce
 please is there someone out there who can help me?

I am living in namibia and married an american gentlemen here in namibia in 2002. Few weeks after our marriage he had to go to the states because his mother was ill and that was the last I have seen of him.

I cannot get a divorce here in namibia because I need to know where he is located in the united states I have only the old address and his ss number. I cannot find him at all, so what must I do?
To get a lawyer will cost me too much money I cannot afford it. Is there any service in the united states that can find his location?

Your help would be appreciated and could you please reply to this email address:

I don't see what the problem is with divorcing someone with whom you've been apart for years except your country does not permit divorces after years of separation. After a year apart with no communication, the divorce should be final. Contact your divorce lawyers there in Namibia. They should be able to handle this process with little or no problem. First it can be put in news papers within your country for some times to see if someone contests the divorce. If after a while no one contests, a court hearing should be set and the divorce executed by a judge. That's how it works here in the united states. Having his social or what ever -- means nothing. He may not be alive... then does that mean you should live single?? Move on, my dear!

You can file a divorce on ground of abandonment.. and you don't need his address. If you can't afford a lawyer, you can obtain legal help from the government agency in your country.

Lawanwadee, the issue here is the divorce is not in the US, so they have to get a divorce in the nation they are in.

You will need an attorney in your county, even here in the US for a divorce where you do not know where one person is, an attorney is needed. So start saving.

I do realize that she is in Namibia and her husband is American, and I am not talking about divorce in US.

    Please re-read my response:
