    Noisy Crafstman lawn tractor engine
    My Craftsman garden tractor (917.275023) just started making a tin sound, almost like a faulty muffler.although the noise is coming from the engine. It's lost a little power but works fine otherwise. Valve issue?

    Could be a valve issue, however, are you sure it is not the heat shields?
