    Goodman CLQ-30 won't turn off
I just installed a new Goodman CLQ-30 furnace evaporator and condenser. I have checked and rechecked all of the wiring. As soon as you turn on the 120 volts, the fan comes on and the condenser starts up. While the A/C is running, the diagnostic light is giving me 5 blinks. The manual says it is either a direct short to ground in the flame sensor circuit, lingering burner flame, or a slow closing gas valve. First off, the gas cock is turned off because I haven't installed the fule piping yet. Secondly, I checked the flame sensor with my meter and did not pick up a direct short. HELP!!

I would recheck you low voltage wiring from the thermost to the furnace and then to the outside condensing unit. The A/C should not come on unless there is a call from the thermostat for it to run.

You might have pinches or shorted a low voltage wire during the install.
