    Your thermostat doesn't have a "fan" switch on it? Maybe if you put another thermostat on your system that does will make it easy without causing other problems.

    My furnace only has two spots for the thermostat

    Thermostat doesn't have a Fan ON side? Otherwise use a single pole, double throw switch. Hot to the middle terminal, Switched one way the heater circuit is energized, thrown the other, only the fan. You will need a hot jumper to the fan only side.

    If your thermostat doesn't have a switch marked ON/AUTO it should be replaced with one that does for about $25
