Is the Ignition Control Module new?
Not sure. He put in a reconditioned/rebuilt distributor but every time it gets hot, the service light comes on, and I checked it using the paperclip in the connector method, and it blinks the 15 code. After submitting this question to the forum, I called the mechanic and he's going to give it another look since the dizzy is still under warranty. Not sure if the ICM is part of the distributor on this or separate? FYI... It stalls (at times) when it's hot and I accelerate. Not good when trying to get on the interstate.
Sounds like a bad ICM. I would replace it, after coating the back of the new ICM with silicone heat transfer compound. I only recommend genuine Honda distributor housings--all others are suspect. My advice is to buy an OEM housing and install an aftermarket ICM, rotor, and cap, to keep the cost down. That should solve the problem.
