Probably those nightmares have you a bit out of sorts, and sleepless too, as you have said, and no telling why that is. Maybe something sad, scary, or shocking happened a while back? A fight, or argument, or an innocent lie, or secret?
Sometimes we are nervous from looking forward to something too, like a vacation, reunion, soccer season, or something, and we are unable to focus or sleep much. So it doesn't always have to be a bad thing, it could be ANYTHING.
Hard to say, but I hope you can figure it out, and relax some, to correct it. Warm milk after a hot bath does it for me.
