Weight loss during third trimester
I am pregnant with my second child. My starting weight was 186.5lbs at 5'5" tall (Obese)... through the morning sickness phase that ended at 21 weeks I had dropped down to 177.8lbs. Loss of appetite, vomiting and just taking on smaller portions caused that to happen... Through the holidays of Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years I jumped up to a whopping 193lbs. At the first of the year I started watching what I ate, started choosing more healthy meals and snacks for myself, started doing prenatal yoga... On average I consume about 1500 calories a day, if I ate more I would be stuffing myself and making myself feel sick. I do not go hungry I eat something every 2-3 hours... I weighed myself this morning (I am 29 weeks and 5 days today) at 184.4lbs. That is less than what I weighed when I found out I was pregnant. Is it okay to lose weight in my third trimester as long as I am not going hungry and getting the nutrients I need?
