Where can I find a clean out plug cap for old cast iron pipes
The cap of my u shaped clean out access is stripped. It does not seal tightly causing constant dripping from the area. How can I fix the problem if a cap can't be located. Thank you

If you are talking a whole house trap then the brass plug Speedball posted is available at most plumbing supply stores. If you have an odd size cleanout plug then you'll need to purchase a LEAD FIT-ALL plug (available at all plumbing wholesalers).

The "U" shape threw me off? Maybe a trap?

    Yeah Brian,
It does sound kind of like a sewer line trap.

Guess we'll never know unless we get a better explanation or a pic.
