Is there an endpoint to the payment of federally court ordered restitution
I have been ordered to make monthly restitution payments -- do I have do this for the rest of my life or is there a point in time when this will end? I have been told that after 20 years I won't have to pay anymore -- is this true? If so, when does the clock start?

Doesn't the judgment of conviction (or restitution order) say? I assume it has a total amount and the amount of the monthly payments, correct? What are these figures?

The reason I ask is that the ending date would depend upon those figures. Say, for example, the restitution amount was $1,000,000, and the monthly payment required was $83.33 ($1,000 per year). It would be paid off in 1,000 years, but it is doubtful that you will live that long.

It ends when it is paid off. If it takes the rest of your life, then it will still be against the estate when you die
