My lt1000 17.5 hp riding mower has a cranking problem. Cranks fine until it stops on a comp. stroke. Then it won't crank. Spin the motor a little by hand works fine again. New starter new battery.battery has 230 cca is that enough? Any ideas? Cables are OK. Oil visc. OK

What is the temp where it is stored? 230 should be fine, can you test the specific gravity of the acid or at least test the voltage, should be about 12.7 volts.
