Random wet spots in carpet - no leak confirmed by plumber
Hello, two days ago I noticed 3-4 random wet spots on my living room carpet within a 4' range and they don't seem to be drying. Our plumber came out and went into the crawl space and didn't find any wetness on the flooring nor any leaks in pipes (checked the main - no water on/dial didn't move). We've had unusually cold temperatures here (snow/below freezing for 5 days, should be melted and gone within another 2-5 days), so maybe the cold air has affected something else in our house to make this happen? We did have water seep into the floors near an exterior hose bib, but these spots are at least 6-8 feet away from that area and they are random and not one full patch, so don't think they are related. This is on the first floor right above our crawl space. Any ideas what this could be?
